Transport for London have just emailed me to advise that they have completed the bridge replacement works on the Essex-bound section of Ardleigh Green Bridge (the eastern section). They now need to switch traffic onto this new section of bridge so that they can begin to demolish and rebuild the London-bound section (the western section). They will switch the traffic contraflow – which will remain operating in a single lane in each direction – overnight on 8 and 9 December. During this time they will also fully reopen Bryant Avenue.
For more details please see the attached letter below, which is being distributed to residents, businesses and other stakeholders in the Ardleigh Green Bridge area today.

I visited Ardleigh Green with TfL earlier this year with Keith Prince AM. To read that article, click here.
