Team Lopez:
Julia Lopez MP was pleased to receive confirmation from the Secretary of State for Education, Nadhim Zahawi MP, that eight schools within Hornchurch & Upminster have received funding in the 2022-23 allocation of the Condition Improvement Fund.
This £498mn programme helps ensure that schools and sixth-form colleges can complete vital building works which their revenue or funding cannot meet. This can include works to improve the general condition of a school, address a compliance issue or to improve energy efficiency as we build towards our net zero goals. 1,405 projects have been allocated funding this year including the following Hornchurch & Upminster Schools:
- The Coopers' Company and Coborn School
- The Campion School
- Sacred Heart of Mary Girls' School
- Redden Court School
- Emerson Park Academy
- Upminster Infant School
- Drapers' Pyrgo Priory School
- Sanders Draper
As in previous rounds, the fund was oversubscribed however Julia is very pleased to see so many schools within the constituency be supported in this way and hopes that this funding will enable them to make progress on their proposed works.
