This afternoon I had the pleasure of meeting the leadership team and school council of Drapers' Pyrgo Primary School, Harold Hill. I took questions from the school council about my life in politics and presented members of the whole community with awards for behaviour, academic work, art and attendance at the full Friday assembly.
I had arranged to visit Drapers' Pyrgo as part of my aim to understand the opportunities and challenges facing our local schools, and to offer help in connecting their leadership teams to useful people in Westminster and the constituency.
