We had the pleasure of visiting Corbets Tey School today to speak to the senior leadership team about special educational needs (SEN) provision in Havering and to see the fantastic new extension of the school, provided by an extremely generous local builder.
We discussed the challenges of addressing the needs of all SEN children, the possibility of designing supported-living new-build homes suitable for SEN adults, and plans for an additional special needs school in the borough.
The children we met on our tour of the school were enchanting, and we had a fantastic time visiting the brand new soft play block and sensory room. Corbets Tey is a precious place, and we look forward to working together to improve the quality of life of the children they serve and their families.
