This morning my team and I paid a visit to Suttons Primary School in Hornchurch to meet deputy head, Mrs Blakes, and parent governor, Darren Bray. 

We had arranged to visit Suttons as part of my aim to understand the opportunities and challenges facing our local schools, and to offer help in connecting their leadership teams to useful people in Westminster and the constituency. We were able to look round the school, hear about the tremendous success they have had in their work over child mental health and talk about some of the practical issues facing the school including traffic management on Suttons Lane.
