We aim to visit all our local schools as soon as possible, and this morning went to Nelmes Primary School in Emerson Park to talk to head teacher, Kirsten Cooper, and her team and take a tour of the school.
I was joined by my parliamentary team as well as the Conservative ward action team for Emerson Park, including Havering Council Leader, Cllr Roger Ramsey. During our visit, we were able to listen to a fantastic poetry recitation and I took questions about my work as an MP from the wonderful Planet Captains, who act as leaders for their Houses.
Nelmes was rated Outstanding by Ofsted and I was incredibly impressed by the children we met and the work of Kirsten and her team in creating such a positive and enriching school environment.
