This afternoon my team and I visited Ford Dagenham to see their plant, meet the people working on the factory floor and discuss diesel, the future of autonomous vehicles, high tech manufacturing and Brexit. I am keen to involve the Ford team in Havering's bid for a Heathrow logistics hub at Beam Reach.

It was particularly interesting to see the company's UK operations after visiting their plant in Detroit earlier this year with the International Trade Committee.
