Regular readers will be aware of my campaign to improve transport accessibility to ensure people of all levels of mobility can lead as fulfilling lives as possible.
On 21 June I shall be attending an ‘Accessible Transport for All’ event at the Romford YMCA on Rush Green Road to make people aware of the wide-ranging accessibility that now exists on our public transport system. There will be at least ten mainstream transport providers attending, including Eurostar and TfL’s mentoring service, who will talk about their door-to-door services for the most vulnerable members of the capital.
We have managed to secure from the Premier League and West Ham two tickets for the event’s raffle to the disabled viewing area for a West Ham match, so please come along to hear about transport options and raise money for the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation. The event runs from 10am to 2pm.
