We are pleased to share with you, at the bottom of this page, a letter from the Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps MP, announcing the launch of an Inclusive Transport Leaders Scheme (ITLS) which will provide improved transport experience for disabled passengers by promoting inclusive design and high-quality customer service.
Under the scheme, transport operators may be eligible to receive three accreditation statuses: Inclusive Transport Committed, Inclusive Transport Operator or Inclusive Transport Leader. Operators may reach accreditation by meeting set criteria, which can be viewed in full at:

Within his letter, the Transport Secretary has announced that the Government will also be launching the 'it's everyone's journey' advertising campaign to highlight how everyone can help to make transport inclusive.
Finally, the letter advises that the Government will shortly be announcing the stations that will benefit from further Access for All funds. Unfortunately, we were not able to submit a second application for Upminster Station to benefit from these funds due to changes in the eligibility, however, Julia continues to campaign for step-free access to Platform 6 at Upminster station. We have recently met with Network Rail and disability charity Leonard Cheshire to discuss how we may continue to advance this campaign and we are still gathering signatures for our petition. If you wish to support our campaign, please do sign our petition at:
