Julia welcomes green grant funding for local schools

Team Lopez – Julia was delighted to learn that schools across Havering are benefitting from the Government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.

In Hornchurch and Upminster, Hacton Primary School and Hall Mead School will benefit from funding after Empower Learning Academy Trust applied to the programme.

The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme provides grants for public sector bodies to fund heat decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures. With interest in sustainability and the environment ever growing among younger people, this is fantastic news for our schools and community.
