Issues with Dart Charge

Since the weekend, a number of constituents have written to Julia Lopez MP to raise their concerns about the current IT issues causing the Dart Charge system to malfunction. Several of these constituents have been unable to make payments whilst the system is malfunctioning.

Julia has written to the Transport Secretary, Mark Harper MP, and Chief Executive of National Highways, Nick Harris, to seek their advice on the steps being taken to ensure the system is back up and running as soon as possible.

In her comments, Julia has also asked for the government and National Highways to confirm that any fines issued in the last few days, since the system malfunctioned, are cancelled, and that no fines will be issued whilst the payment system is not working.
