Julia Lopez MP welcomes the social impact fund announced by Centrica Plc which is providing people and communities with grants of up to £100,000 for ideas to tackle climate change and lower energy bills.
Centrica’s Energy for Tomorrow (EfT) fund is inviting grant applications to receive up to £100,000 for innovative ideas on affordable, accessible and sustainable energy to local communities. Through the EfT, successful applicants will also receive expert mentoring and support to bring their ideas to life.
The EfT has previously funded projects to support schools reduce emissions, to solar panels installation for hospices and churches, and funded the development of a thermal plantation shutter.
Centrica have confirmed they are welcoming applications from charities, community groups, community interest companies, not-for-profit and for-profit companies – and the deadline is 13th October.
