Jobs Skills and Apprenticeship Fair Comes to Queen’s Theatre Next Month

On Friday 13 September, Hornchurch & Upminster MP Julia Lopez and Romford JobCentre will host a free-to-attend jobs, skills and apprenticeship fair in collaboration with Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch.

This will be the ninth Jobs Fair hosted Julia Lopez MP, working in close partnership with the Romford JobCentre, and will be attended by a number of local employers and training providers. Included in those already confirmed are Care Providers Voice, the London Ambulance Service, MTR Elizabeth Line, Blue Arrow Recruitment and Complete Classrooms.

The last fair hosted by Mrs Lopez and Romford Job Centre in February was the largest of its kind and was attended by 308 people looking for their next opportunity. 34 attendees received job offers on the day while a further 57 were invited to attend second interviews. Employers at the February event included the BHRUT NHS Trust, AstraZeneca HSBC and the Met Police.

These fairs often lead to dozens of interviews and job offers for local people which I’m always delighted to hear about. I’d encourage anyone who is looking for their next opportunity to come along and speak to some of the brilliant employers who will be there!

“Supporting people into work and helping local businesses find new potential employees in a tight labour market is an important part of my plan to make the Hornchurch & Upminster an amazing place to live, work and raise a family. I’m very much looking forward to next month’s fair.”

The jobs, skills and apprenticeship fair runs between 9.30am – 12.30pm at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch on Friday 13 September.
